Updates being Planned!

Hello Penguins,

I've got some major updates in mind, and I'm going to share with you everything I plan on doing within the next month or two.

Here are some small updates I shall be making soon:

Finish adding all Club Penguin emotes
Adding new sections to the forum
Adding Club Penguin default ranks
Adding/Deleting Usergroups
and more will be added soon...

Here are some big updates I plan on making:

Find official Website/Forum name
Purchase ".com" domain
Add a Homepage, Blog, and other cool pages to website
Change forum style to match name
Purchase vBulletin (if I win the lottery anytime soon, this one is still undecided for me, so don't ask me much about it.)
Place banners, and ads on different Club Penguin fansites
and more will be added soon...

Please keep in mind, NONE of these updates will be made without notification, I will post a new thread in the "News & Announcements" section for each update being made. Discuss all of the update plans questions, and comments in this thread.

Please don't use vBulletin or do anything like a homepage. It's just un-needed.

I think those would work great.

These are some awesome updates, they should all be used, to make the forum is good as it can get.

Well, I think you still get to keep your custom rank, but people without one will get normal ranks.

I don't think it would work to have custom ranks AND normal ranks, and I would vote for normal ranks. Also, 0 posts needs to be "New Penguin" because otherwise they would just be a Member rank. Wink

It's nice to see that you are planning to add a homepage and/or any other pages. Because you're purchasing a domain and it should not be only for the forum.

Yeah, I figured I might as well go all the way. Hellopayton was supposedly going to help purchase the domain but since he's gone these updates might take a little longer than expected. I'm still not even close to sure about vBulletin (it's 180$ for a license), however, I will still be adding official homepage, blog, and other cool pages.

As for ranks, there will probably only end up being set ranks, and not custom. The reason for this is once the forum grows, having custom ranks would be too much for me to change in and out because forumotion does not have the custom rank option. If we ever switch to vBulletin I'll bring back custom ranks, there is a feature that allows it.

I love the ranks Matt, I'll revise them soon, and add/delete some, etc. Then I will add them in. I'm currently having alot of internet problems so everything is taking forever to connect, and it's going in and out. Hopefully this is over with soon.

You might wana make the post counts smaller (like 0 posts for New Penguin).

Does anybody listen to what I say...? It has to be 0 posts for new penguin or they will just show up as "Member" or not have a rank.
